Dru Yoga Therapist & Yoga Teacher; Founder of DRUVA
Lockdown is gradually easing in England, and it is now permissable to teach up to five clients in a group outdoors, while maintaining the 2 metre social distancing requirements. However, I will continue to offer 1-2-1 tuition. (As the situation is constantly changing, please view the government website for up to date information.)
Personal tuition is the traditional way of offering Yoga, and has many benefits over and above a class environment. If you have never tried a one-to-one session, why not treat yourself? Although the initial cost of the session or sessions may be higher than your usual class fee, you will gain far more, and will be given an individual practice that you can then work on at home.
Many yoga teachers are busy finding ways to offer teaching online for their students during this time. A realtime online class will give you the opportunity to connect with others, building a sense of community. Please support your local yoga community by joining online sessions offered by local teachers. You will then be able to join them in the real world once this crisis has passed. Having said that, my Zoom online clients are not only local, but also from further afield - Bonjour!
As Yoga practitioners we are well placed to face the coming months with fortitude, always allowing our actions to come from the heart. In my Newsletters I offer suggestions for practices to help, so do sign up to receive these bulletins (on average once monthly).
And please take a look at my recent Blog posts, designed to offer useful information, backed by science, in a readable format that I hope you will enjoy.
